Like many companies, Pellerin Milnor, an engineering and manufacturing company located in Louisiana that produces commercial laundry machinery for clients across the world, thought that its data systems were prepared for the worst case scenario. Shortly after Hurricane Katrina slammed the Gulf Coast in the summer of 2005, the company realized it needed to upgrade its data storage and recovery systems. Using Network Appliance and VMware products, Peak UpTime helped Pellerin Milnor design a system that provided business continuity in the event of a disaster. As a result, the company's data system can be moved to another location within a matter of hours and business will be carried out as usual.

Tony said it is hard to describe how much relief he feels knowing that Peak UpTime has helped the company properly store its important data.
Prior to Katrina, Pellerin Milnor kept the usual back up tapes and stored them off site, but it really wasn't prepared for something as drastic as Katrina.
Today, the company has all of its important data replicated and stored in another building. Data systems can be picked up, moved and fully functioning regardless of the conditions at its company headquarters.
